If you are married or single, we hope that the following ministries will help you get connected to our church family. We want to see God work increasingly in our lives and these ministries are designed to help us discover all that God desires for us as we learn more about Him and encourage one another through fellowship and serving others.

Adult Bible Fellowship (ABF)
An ABF is a group or community of people committed to know and apply the Word together in a caring fellowhsip with organization to bring about Patoral Care, discipleship, and outreach. Usually divided by age groupings so there is a natural affinity and strong bond. There will be ABF's meeting at the church for all age groups (18 to 100 years of age). The ABF's will meet at both 9:00 AM and 10:45 AM Worship time.
College & Career Ministry
Word of Life's College & Career ministry is a place where college students and young adults are putting God in control of their lives. It's a place to get connected to the body of Christ and its ministries here at Word of Life -- through fellowship, service, and spiritual growth. See Calendar for upcoming events. Get involved!
Small Groups
Small Groups meet weekly (2-4 times per month) in people’s homes at different times and days of the week and consist of 6-12 people. The focus is growing in Christ. A typical meeting consists of:
  • Warm-up time (10 min.)
  • Applicational Bible Study (30-40 min.) - the focus is not so much on gaining new knowledge, but discussing how a particular truth from God’s Word can be applied to one’s life.
  • Ministry Time (30-40 min.) – members share burdens, prayer requests, and what they have learned the prior week from God’s Word.
  • Fellowship Time (20-30 min.) – time spent over food and refreshments.
In addition to becoming more like Christ, a key purpose of small groups is duplication. Over time (12-24 months), the small group leader will identify potential leaders who will eventually launch their own small group with either entirely new members or have some of the existing members migrate with the new leader in forming a new small group. Sunday Hospital Singing Ministry
Meets in the sancturay after every Sunday Morning service and departs for Alpena General Hospital to be a blessing to the patients.
