Wednesday Nights - Fall 2025 Session Begins September 10, 2025 at 6:15pm, and is scheduled to continue for 10 weeks, with a possible 11th week wrapup.
Everyone can read and study the Bible, but have you ever wanted to learn how to go deeper?
If so, this may be the LIFE Track for you!
We’ll discuss how to read, interpret, and apply the Bible, engaging such topics as how to approach various sections of Scripture, how to use various Bible study tools, how historical-culture and literary contexts impact our understanding of Scripture, how various types of translations work, and how the meaning of Scripture works, putting these things into practice throughout.
This LIFE Track was developed and adapted from a study using the book, Grasping God’s Word (4th Edition) by Duvall & Hayes, which is highly recommended (including by those who have gone through the course) but is not required, and can be purchased on your own. The publisher, Harper Collins, has made a PDF version available for free: vhttps://www.harpercollinschristian.com/blog/2022/03/21/grasping-gods-word-fourth-edition-audiobook-pdf/
We will also frequently use a free app, with many Bible study resources, called the Blue Letter Bible, which is available on the web and as a free download for both Apple and Android devices.
See Pastor Tim for more information.
Wednesday Nights - Fall 2025 Session Beginning September 10 at 6:15pm, and is scheduled to continue for 10 weeks.
A Devotional LIFE — Interested in participating in a devotional experience while growing in your Bible study skills?
Join us from 6:15-7:30 pm in the Prayer Room for an informal time of devotional study and prayer through the New Testament book of Titus.
Each week Pastor Scott and others will help us use a simple Bible study approach called S.O.A.P., which stands for Scripture, Observation, Application and Prayer. Participants will be encouraged to engage a personal “S.O.A.P.” study of a short passage each week, which will then be taught and discussed at that week’s gathering. Lastly, we’ll learn to use the scripture to shape our prayers, as we conclude each night in group prayer.
