Announcing a new and developing outreach of Word of Life Baptist Church to our community:
The Word of Life RC Course
Do you have a radio controled car and want to run it on a track or crawler course? We have a place for you to do that, including a stand to control your cars from, just off our lower parking lot, near the sheds and storage containers.
As with our Disc Golf Course, this is open to the public, but closed during Sunday morning services and funerals.
Have fun out there!
Contact Kevin Dore for more information.
Come and discover something new with the Seekers. This fellowship explores God’s Word through a variety of short studies as we seek after Him. Open to anyone, this group continually brings something new to your walk with the Lord.
The Seekers meet Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM in room 110.
Primary Facilitator / Teacher: Bob Page
ABF Leader: Dan Kirschner
Current Study: "Dont Give The Enemy A Seat At Your Table" - Louie Giglio (on Right Now Media)
We offer children entering 1st (or kindergarteners that are ready*) through 5th grade a unique opportunity to worship and learn during our 10:45 AM service on Sunday mornings. After joining their parents in the sanctuary, families have the choice to dismiss their children from service to KW2, an interactive teaching time geared for younger hearts and minds. Parents can pick their children up from KW2 in the Heritage Center Gymnasium following the worship service.
* We offer two options for kindergarteners, depending on what they are ready for. They can either stay in Kidville with younger children or participate in KW2, which is more advanced in content and expectations.
What started as a pop-up course for a church event is now open to the public as an outreach of Word of Life Baptist Church to our community.
The course is closed on Sunday mornings and/or when funerals are taking place.
Parking in the lower lot is preferred - the 1st tee is up the stairs by the front entrance / mailbox.
Course maps are available near the first tee pad or available here:
Loaner disc sets are available just inside the first set of doors at the main entrance to the church, inside a yellow box.
Some Course Notes:
- We have a mixture of tee pads marked with orange or yellow stakes as the front of the "tee pad." Some are existing concrete or asphalt, others are outdoor carpet-covered rubber mats.
- We have garbage bins available by the bend on #2, after # 4(13), 7 (16) and # 9 (18) on the course, so please help us care for the church property.
Mando's (we hope to add signs eventually): Hole 3 - right of the 1st tree Hole 9 - left of the group of 4 trees. If you miss the mando, take your penalty stroke and go the the marked drop zone to the left of the two other birch trees (it should make sense when you're there).
Recommended "Hazard": All asphalt (Hazard penalty stroke, but play from where the disc lies). When leagues play, this rule is followed.
Have fun out there!
Once again, we are challenging men to grow deeper in the knowledge and grace of our Lord by joining the Every Man a Warrior discipleship journey. This course speaks to every part of a man’s life including his relationship with God, marriage, raising a family, work, money and getting through hard times. Click the link below to view the introductory video.
This opportunity comes once a year and new groups start each Fall. Workbooks, available at the start of the course and are required. By design, this is a small group fellowship, so be sure to join early as the class is closed to newcomers after the first few weeks.
